To me, that was when I realized that Trump finally pushed people on the right to say, "If you're gonna accuse me of it no matter what I do or say then, goddamnit, I'm just gonna revel in it". Neither side has provided "debate" in many, many years. Of course, each side is too busy blaming the other for that failing to take responsibility for it.
