Donald J. Trump? @realDonaldTrump

Toyota Motor said will build a new plant in Baja, Mexico, to build Corolla cars for U.S. NO WAY! Build plant in U.S. or pay big border tax.

My Tundra was made in Texas... they want it both ways with Mexico.. cheap transport and cheap labor.. I absolutely applaud the president fighting for American jobs especially when the alternative is our neighbor.. these aren't cheap electronics made in Asia that can be containered over for a relatively cheap price...

Why?

The purpose of the president is to put America first in every instance.

So Toyota will pay tariffs, raise the prices on Corolla's, and middle class Americans that buy Corolla's will foot the bill for Trump. Sounds just like Trump!

If people think all of these companies are going to drastically change their operations and build factories in the US just because of some one-term 4 year President, you're kidding yourselves. They'll pay the tariffs and pass them onto you, the US consumer.

So how do you run your business, maximizing your overhead are you?

Corporations have a duty to their shareholders to maximize value. We should not expect them to do anything else. That's why we should incentivize them to manufacture goods here, not punish them for manufacturing goods elsewhere.

Likewise, American consumers should have the benefit of purchasing goods at the best value. We shouldn't be forced to buy goods we ordinarily wouldn't by artificially inflating the price of goods the government doesn't want us to buy for whatever 'reason'.

When did y'all start hating America so much?

Yeah, I guess once Trump comes to Toyota with a list of kickbacks and bribes they'll build their plant in the US too. What a great world we live in.

That doesn't mean that Americans have to or will buy them. They might just choose to buy another model that is made in the US. If the American consumer decides not to buy them and their sales plummet they might have a change of heart.

What does that have to do with everyone paying more for products just so we can slap an American flag on them?
