Risky mortgage lending practices to help the poor and middle class led to the recent recession.

Trump repelled all the regulations written to stop the banks from giving out risky mortgages.

What stupid fricking spin. You could just as easily say "Trump cuts excess in entitlements to improve nations infrastructure".

Don't let others tell you what to think. Welfare needs reform.

He could have paid for infrastructure by getting rid of the billions we pay in corporate welfare instead of going after programs that help the poor.

Welfare needs reform. Money in, money out.

The media is choosing to link it to "corporate welfare" which in and of itself is a bullshite liberal buzzword.

Way to get rid of the poor and middle class, so only the richest survive. Kind of like what HItler did to the Jews but not as bloody.

To help the poor and the middle class? Jesus H fricking Christ....Bankers have always been noted for their benevolence and their propensity to help out the down trodden masses, even to the detriment of the banker himself....where do you people get this shite from??? Helping out the poor and the middle class....

So you are of the opinion that saddling people with low incomes to begin with enormous debts based on assets in a market that was already beyond the saturation point with those assets is some sort of benevolent act on the part of bankers? The fact of the matter is that banks were awash with cash and had to have somewhere to put it and there has been a long running smoke screen of propaganda in this country that buying a home is an "Investment" (It is the exact opposite) and banks, doing what they do, saw an opportunity to expand that investment opportunities to folks who were previously untapped because they had NO MONEY TO STEAL....but the bankers convinced their minions in congress to make certain these people with no money to steal would pay their mortgage payments or the bank would be bailed out and the bankers would make money either way...and here we are...

Helping the poor and the middle class....Jesus H fricking Christ....assuming you are an adult how on earth do you remain this naive? It is deeply rooted in still believing in God....

How does this corporate welfare manifest itself? Standard business deductions...depreciation...etc? Thats not "welfare" Giving taxdollars away so people can use it to pay for living expenses so they can spend more of their money on stuff the would like to have, is welfare.

Paying tax is now corporate welfare? Can we apply the same standard to personal welfare?

Instead of receiving benefits, welfare and SNAP recipients will pay a 20% tax. Deficits solved!
