It's clear the democrats are nervous now, and never actually wanted a special prosecutor
They just wanted to use the idea of a special prosecutor to make it look like the Trump admin had something to hide
Trump admin called their bluff. Good. Now the facts will come out and show there was nothing there. Democrats look like a bunch of loons.

I think all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, can agree that this needs to be resolved and that the truth, however benign or unpleasant, needs to be brought forth.

It won't stop the Democrats, though. They will just claim the investigation was a fraud and we need a new one or throw some other "scandal" out there to try to flood the news cycle.

I've been saying for a while now that the Dems didn't want a serious investigation into #Russians The grandstanding just ended today. It is in the hands of the SC. Dems can't really get any political hay out of that unless Trump is taken down. Vague allegations of #Russians could've dogged Trump for his entire term.

Heres the rub, much like with Nixon, Trump has made a series of errors that now make the issue less about the crime then the cover up.
At the moment his real problem seems to be centered around whether he obstructed justice at any point.....Or at any point going forward.
People forget Nixon was never formally found guilty of directing the Watergate break in. The dam broke when it became clear, after the leaked Nixon tapes, that Nixon had intended to use the CIA to obstruct the Watergate investigation. Republican leadership came to Nixon united that they no longer could stand by him. Meaning the votes were likely there for total impeachment. Nixon soon after resigned.

Once he's cleared, Trump should keep Mueller on to investigate Lynch, Obama, unmasking, Clinton..... On and on.
