I agree. I mean, my own family is proof of that. Shitload of mixed families in my neighborhood and church are mixed, too. Nobody has any problems yet the media would have you think everyone is at each others' throats. Makes zero sense

I think "demonized" is the better term than oppressed. I don't think anyone is really oppressed in this country, or at least oppressed more than any other general population in this country.
