In fairness to the NFL, maybe people have just wised up and stopped ordering that nasty shite Papa John's calls pizza.

As pizzas go, Papa Johns is probably better than PH or Dominos and cardboard is better than Little Ceasar. People are probably straying away from Papa Johns because they are much more expensive than Dominos

If the NFL is hurting from all of this , I really can't tell, I was in NOLA last Sunday and the restaurants and bars were pretty full during game time with TVs on and even after and I would tell you , the people I deal with, all watched the Saints game on Sunday.

With all the time and money the left has put into this protest they could have actually helped the poor minority’s they claim to be kneeling for . It’s to bad the left cares more about going after Trump to helping any Americans.

Can someone explain to me why we want the NFL to suffer here? Is it

A) just because we want to show that SJWs are terrible and if NFL ratings are the way to do it, the NFL is an unfortunate byproduct?

B) Because the NFL has done/isn't doing something specific? Like banning the protests or requiring people to stand for the anthem?

I'm watching less NFL this year because QB play is shitty and the season has started off pretty boring. But if I was going to boycott for some political reason, what would that reason be?

Yep the QB play has been less than stellar. You still have Brees, Brady, Roethlisberger and Ryan...and now Carson Wentz, but aside from the above mentioned....and even Brees and Brady are not having fantastic years, QB's have been rather pedestrian. However, I have seen that RB numbers are up. Ingram has had back to back 100 yard games, Fournette has been as good as advertised and even Peterson is doing well in Arizona ....Le'veon Bell is doing great as is Jay Ajayi in Miami

And hopefully a new, improved and non-political phoenix will rise from the ashes. No business should openly profess political stances. It simply does not make good business sense to alienate roughly half of your potential customer base.

Maybe people just refuse to eat Papa John's because of the owner's protests of the Affordable Care Act.

Could you not understand why that is? It isn't a hard concept to grasp. If you are struggling, let me know. I will try to dumb it down for you.

Why are you so bad at information gathering?

the figures from Nielsen that show an overall decline of 7.5 percent in total viewership, comparing this year’s ratings to last year’s, which the NFL believed were down from 2015 because of the election.

quote:

What you didn’t see is consistency in how the numbers sunk across the board, something the owners showed concern over inside those meetings rooms. Consider these:

• There are six time-related viewing windows the NFL measures every week. Through six weeks, the NFL’s ratings were down in 22 of 36 windows.

• The NFL’s average household rating is currently 25.1, down from 26.9 over the same period last year, and the 28.1-28.7 range where it sat from 2013-15.

• Twenty-six of 32 teams are drawing lower local numbers than they did in 2016. Nineteen have dropped 5 percent or more, including brand name teams like the Cowboys (7% drop), Patriots (8%) and Steelers (6%), and both New York clubs (the Giants are down 7%, the Jets are down 37%). Conversely, only three teams (Chiefs, Bucs, Lions) have improved

The NFL was stable until 2016, when the focus on kneeling began. And since the 2015 highs, markets are down around 20%.
