He's not a communist. In what way could he possibly be construed to be a Communist?
Really, the head of a religion believes that countries should take care of their poor? No shite!!! That doesn't make him a communist. I think we should take care of our poor as well. Am I a communist? What makes one a communist is the method through which one accomplishes those ends. I haven't yet seen the Pontiff call for the end of private property, national commons, or the banning of religion in the interest of the state.
The Pope may have some socialist tendencies, but he is absolutely 100% NOT Communist.

What? I asked for examples of where the Church has changed to keep up with society that the poster was saying is why he doesn't like the catholic church.
I am not anti-catholic, in fact I am about as hard core Catholic as you can be. I just don't see anywhere in her history where mother church has changed to keep up with Society and was asking for examples.
Yes we invented the University system, health systems, etc. Those are not examples of change to "keep up with society".
