Don't say you weren't warned.

You left out the plans to build, equip and staff 6 new schools in SG. Zachary built one. Little details like that elude you.

Back to topic, it's amazing to me that a public entity can be sitting on $81 MM and have the gaul to ask for more.

As much good as I think BREC does, a message needs to be sent that they need to be better stewards of our money.

Are you serious? You and the sec+numbers guy must purposefully strive to remain out of touch with local news.

When I look at the route map I see a line going through st george and circles and loops every where else. I am not arguing this because it is silly and distracting to your thread topic.

I said previously which you must have missed that lets move on from the st george discussion and back to the VOTE NO on taxes.

Count on adding about 50% to that bill if SG becomes its own city and school district.

I will gaurantee you no one will complain when school quality and property values go up and up. I have seen it in many places.

That's exactly how I feel, too.

They should at least keep the commitments they made when they first passed the tax and use the money that's already in the bank before asking voters for another 10 year renewal.

Don't forget sales taxes currently collected from SG businesses go to the EBR Parish School System 1% is dedicated to capital projects; consequently, we in SG who spend money in SG are already paying for capital improvements so I could imagine those dollars offsetting much if not most of the schools that we will need.

I realize taxes could go up, but I also realize that we will get to vote on that issue before they do.

Now let me warn you, the cabal at city hall downtown will raise your taxes. They did it with CATS, and they will most certainly do it again; especially if SG forms their own city.

Watch it brother watch it close.

Oh and btw, Zachary built several new schools, and added new building to existing schools. You need to get your facts straight.

I was going to vote no on the tax.
More of a stance in regards to the CATS tax.

Now that LSU Russian is going to vote no, I will vote yes to wash his vote out.
