Russian claims nuclear weapons do not make for a strong US defense.
Because are stated use is as a retaliatory, no first strike posture, theirs is not.

All the more reason the Saudi's have been shopping for atomic weapons as they should. Where have you read anything about plans for Iran to conquer the world and install Islamic governments?

Oh yeah having two nuclear armed countries in close proximity to each other would just make them best friends.

Have you read about how the CIA installed the Shah of Iran in 1953 to protect US and British oil interest?

A little bit and it was and still is the best move because we have to protect our interests. Do I like it? no. Does it makes hypocrites? Yes, but who gives a shite nobody else is going to look after our intersts.

BTW Persians and Arabs hate each other and have for centuries. The pragmatic Bush (1) understood this and left Hussein in power. Iran has too many enemies in the Middle East to be concerned about attacking the US.

GHWB left SH in power because the UN resolution only called for the removal of Iraqi's from Kuwait and if he had proceeded onto Baghdad the coalition would have fallen apart.

there are consequences for not being involved too and WWII was the last great example.

That was hilarious, and a bit scary. Makes you wonder how stupid the people behind the scenes really are.

Maybe not conquer the world but Iran would love to have islamist governments all over the middle east and that would leave the US's energy supply (or a key part of it) in the hands of ppl that don't exactly like us.

Iran is a major power broker who has developed an expertise in unconventional warfare. They are outstanding in that regard. A large part of their strategy was bolstered by our disruption of the Iraqi government and long term occupation. We could argue all day about whether or not that was the right call, but I will say without question that Iran's ability to use extremists as surrogate forces in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan (to a VERY small degree) was increased many orders of magnitude because of the destabilization of the region caused by our invasion and occupation. Our strategy thus far has not yielded a net gain in leverage or influence for the American Government, but has greatly increased the human and financial resources available to countries like Iran and their surrogate forces. Iran has been running around with matches flicking them into the tall grass, and we keep chasing them around trying to put them out. Unfortunately this has reduced our influence and leverage in several countries and the region of the middle east.

You would do well to start viewing Iran's objectives from a more economic perspective. This "islamist" threat everyone is shaking in their boots over is a dry hole and efforts that continue along this road are going to result in a net loss of American prosperity.

Still nothing in your latest link saying Eisenhower threatened N Korea with nukes. The documents referenced in your latest link weren't declassified until 6 decades after the war making public only recently the military even considered using them at the time.

Explain how a threat can be kept secret from the party being threatened and it be considered a threat?

Keep trying. I'm at you.
