We need to turn the left use of the word "democracy" back on them. The word doesn't mean what most people think it means.

F*ck democracies. China was a democracy. Venezuela was a democracy. Australia is enjoying the fruits of democracy right now.

We are a Constitutional Republic. I support the Constitution and God given rights, not democracy. I guess that makes me a "threat to democracy".

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding whats for dinner.....

Attributed to one Benjamin Franklin

I tried to tell people back in 2016 when Trump won he should have been allowed to stay in office as long as he wants. The used the “Democracy” excuse to rig it against him in 2020.

We don't live in a true democracy, or a constitutional republic, we live in an administrative state. Which is much worse. We're ruled by people like Fauci, who never get voted out, aren't responsible to the public, and who consistently drive things in the direction of more federal power and more regulation.

I personally think it's embarrassing how many people say shite like "save our Democracy".

I would argue that possibly the only think worse than a dictatorship is a pure democracy.

Why in the frick would ANYONE want one but ESPECIALLY, why in the frick would someone who constantly talks about minorities want one????

I'm sick and tired of the Left brainwashing people with the wrong use of words.

Is there a good book to read that goes into great details about the differences? I would enjoy reading one.

Democracies always work right up until the point where the population secedes just enough power to allow a dictatorship.

Progressives have done an excellent job of turning “democracy” into a synonym of “freedom”. Amazing because democracy is a huge threat to freedom.

Most people have no clue what the word means, which is why the left cherishes it as a blank slate for whatever they desire.

It's a near certain threat to freedom. Democracy is completely antithetical to freedom.

While dictatorship can be more absolute at least with dictatorship, there's half a chance you'll end up with a benevolent dictator.

Democracy on the other hand is pretty much programmed to be anti-freedom.

FWIW the left is very actively trying to make minorities the majority.

Yes, but they'd only be the "majority" when clumped together.

This still doesn't negate the reality that in a "Democracy", it's highly likely that at some point, the bigger of the groups will vote to frick the smaller.

Yep. See you in Gitmo.

Democracy is no more virtuous than the voters who make up electorate. Book it, 90% of the Dem Base don't even know what's in the Constitution. The other 10% does, and despises it.
