IIRC, You refused to save a conservative Supreme Court by refusing to vote Trump.

Good thing we got a great constitutional conservative like Neil Gorsuch on it in spite of your pettiness.

A. In a choice between two liberals, I decided I couldn't vote for either of them.

B. Even assuming that Trump would be more conservative than Clinton, I couldn't trust Trump to nominate a conservative justice (his list of justices included a bunch of non-conservatives).

C. Congrats. He managed to pick Gorsuch. He's failing on everything else, and will probably lose at least one house next year. He's going to end up being a one-termer or he's going to 'moderate', and the Supreme Court's going to go full liberal for the next generation, all because enough conservatives held their nose and voted for a New York liberal with an R next to his name against another New York liberal for one Supreme Court justice instead of telling the US 'stop it, I want conservatism and a little bit of common sense and morality'.

ETA:

Now, we've kind of gotten away from whether or not people chanting Nazi slogans are racists...

There's pictures and live streams showing fricking Swastikas on these people's clothes and you dumbasses are still defending them. BLM is stupid, so are these assholes. Take a step back and think rationally for once in your lives.

Those torches really aren't doing them any favors. Whose idea was it to have a nighttime mob carry torches?

In looking it up, this is going way back. The university was founded by Thomas Jefferson.

Last year, a group of U-Va. students, faculty were 'deeply offended' by Thomas Jefferson words.

This has been going on for 3 years...

There was a Black "die-in" protest.

There was the break in at a BOV meeting where the students read their list of demands. It included protection for illegal immigrants.

Who cares if they're racists? They have a right to march. They are no more dangerous than ANTIFA and BLM.

This is another trait that liberals have in common with muslims.

Because they're not against any race. Though they're bigots because of their intolerance of different opinions, and extremists because of their willingness to use violence.

A judge actually ruled on that today

Judge rules Charlottlesville alt-right rally can go on

quote:

Kessler sued, saying the change was a free speech violation. In court on Friday, Kessler's attorney, Victor Glasberg, argued that the city changed the permit location for Kessler's rally because city officials did not like Kessler's message, CBS affiliate WCAV reports.

Glasberg pointed to tweets sent by Mayor Mike Singer that had criticized the alt-right and encouraged residets to take a stand against it. But Charlottesville City Attorney Craig Brown said the city manager, Maurice Jones, made the decision to move the rally, WCAV reports.

The judge wrote that Kessler was likely to prevail and granted the injunction.

Earlier this summer, Charlottesville generated national headlines when the Ku Klux Klan planned on holding a rally to protest the city's selling of a Robert E. Lee statue. In the end, only 50 KKK members ended up attending, but thousands of counterprotests attended.

Most of the younger liberals think Fidel Castro was a good guy. The leader of North Korea is more stable than our president. Even though he had his brother and uncle killed. None of these people in this March were wearing mask, hood, bandanas, throwing the torches as weapons. People act like this was some sort of lynching party lol.

Here's the truth. My post was about it getting ugly in Virginia. A huge fight broke out.

Now I'm simply going to restate what I have said before. When one side pushes and pushes, eventually people push back.

I'm glad we have some links to see what all was involved and get a clearer picture.

All of the labels came out in the first paragraph of the article - far-right protesters, white nationalists, white supremacists, and alt-right groups. Aren't they concerned with the loss of historical monuments? How is removing the statue different from ISIS blowing up historical sites - other than the lack of noise?

Keep us posted. Especially when things turn violent and they begin damaging property while comitting theft.

Because they're not Virginians. They're from Ohio, New York, Maryland, and places like New Jersey.

And look at the Washington and Lee students who were offended by the Lee memorial.

These people have no shame.

Sadly, the state is changing, and the university with it.
