By the year 2030, the following 14 cities in the United States are planning to completely outlaw all meat and dairy consumption, as well as all private vehicle ownership and use, in order to conform to the "green" climate standards of the so-called C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group:
• Austin, Texas
• Boston, Massachusetts
• Chicago, Illinois
• Houston, Texas
• Los Angeles, California
• Miami, Florida
• New Orleans, Louisiana
• New York City, New York
• Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Phoenix, Arizona
• Portland, Oregon
• San Francisco, California
• Washington, D.C.
• Seattle, Washington
All 14 of these cities are part of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, which has an "ambitious target" of achieving "0 kg [of] meat consumption," "0 kg [of] dairy consumption," only "3 new clothing items per person per year," "0 private vehicles" owned, and only "1 short-haul return flight (less than 1500 km) every 3 years per person."

So places like Desi Vega’s and Dickie Brennans are in trouble I guess.

Those cities will be all ghost towns if they follow through with that stupid crap.

Yeah good luck with that in Miami. Cubans like meat and i can't recall seeing too many driving EV vehicles.

Let’s outlaw meat in a city known for its fantastic restaurants. Brilliant
Cities doing this will only ensure people move out in droves. This shite is scary though, it amazes me people actually buy into it

Cities like Houston, Miami and New Orleans are in Red States. You really think all of the restaurants in these cities are going to ban meat and eggs? New Orleans cuisine would cease to exist if this happened.

all 14 are full of crap and use the C40 CCLG to provide city funded vacations

Same with places like New Orleans. You really think black folk want to give up soul food and driving those huge antique land yachts or chargers/challengers all souped up? Two things I respect about black culture is their culinary skills and love for a good ol American made car with a v8

Even if every citizen in those cities wanted to comply zero chance it could be done by 2030. On top of it being a stupid idea they put an unrealistic timeframe.

Talk about a lot of wasted concrete and asphalt on freeways and overpasses. I guess they could repurpose the overpasses as shelters for even more homeless people.

Considering Austin has had about 25 BBQ joints open up in the last 10 years because all the Californians never knew what they were missing, there is no way even commie lovin' Austin is going meatless. Houston folks would make the battle of San Jacinto look like patty cake party. These are all great in the minds of the lunatic commie utopian dreamworld, but it won't come to reality.
