there is a reason the article included this

quote:

Medina County, a heavily Republican area in South Texas, closed a polling place in the town of Natalia, which is 75 percent Latino and the only Democratic-leaning part of the county.

that's the implication the reader is supposed to take away

Where are blue precincts/voters in maricopa county?
Phoenix is huge and Trump only won it by 3.5 points so I imagine lots of places?

I made a mistake. I thought Phoenix was in a separate county- thought maricopa was only the burbs

Thanks for explaining how it made it harder for minorities to vote! You have contributed greatly to the conversation.

closing locations makes it more difficult for everybody to vote guy. its called common sense. not everybody owns a vehicle.

guess who is most likely to be affected? i'll give you a hint: its not white dudes.

So they didn't have a place to vote is that what you're saying?

you eliminate polling places where poor people live. Then they have to stand on line.
Meanwhile, across town:
Your soccer moms and fishing buddies waltz into their polling place and there are plenty of empty booths because the wealthy have a polling place near their house.

There are more poor whites than minorities in this country. Your statement is pretty racist.

Good thing we have mail in/absentee votes, as well as public transportation, and Idk about where you live, but I see church groups EVERY WHERE picking up folks to drive to the polls. Especially in poor areas.

Care to make an excuse for those as well?

i wouldn't be opposed to this compromise

Because my dream of an actual political competency test prerequisite to voting will never come to fruition, I'd settle for getting rid of all early voting and make the voting period a week long instead of a single day.
