I'm in Denver and my wife is positive for that variant. I'm sure I am too but I don't care enough to get tested.

It’s really taking off in highly vaccinated states. I read a WSJ opinion piece today that cited some papers hypothesizing that the vaccines are driving the evolution of the virus and promoting variants. Funny enough, Ralph Baric, the top coronavirus scientist in the US, warned about this a long time ago when he tried to develop vaccines for SARS1. His vaccinated mice were more vulnerable to infection by variants. He was skeptical it could be done effectively. He was also part of the collaborative research program with the WIV that likely produced SARS2, so frick him.

Everyone I know or everywhere I go, people have a nagging respiratory infection. I 2x tested negative for covid, no fever, no 'classic' symptoms, but the hack is ubiquitous.
