First Cuomo, now this dipshit.

I wish that some influential New Yorkers would join Sean Hannity in threatening to leave that intolerant state. It would be great if a New York team was in the Super Bowl, and a high-profile QB and some others were speaking out about not wanting to work and live where they aren't wanted.

For the record, I would be upset if a conservative governor of a red state had said the same thing about people who were pro-choice or against the 2nd Amendment. Say what you will about Rick Perry or Bobby Jindal, but they would NEVER say that liberals weren't welcome in their respective states.

Yes. The problem with government spending is that a huge chunk of it is tied up in entitlement programs like social security, medicare etc. So unless you reform those programs, the money is going out and its going into the budget.

Instead of pushing for reforms in those programs, or cutting the gluttonous spending of the military, by far the largest spender in the discretionary budget, you hear Tea Party "leaders" calling for cuts in education, infrastructure projects, and various welfare programs, the most notorious being the dreaded foodstamps program.

The Tea Party is also responsible for the gridlock in Washington by having a no compromise policy with Democrats and striving to make the Obama administration a failure all the while dragging the Republican Party further to the right.

I certainly support some of the ideas the Tea Party claims to stand for, but their execution of them is an abomination.

The Tea Party is not good for the country and serves to sabotage and sling mud on the few credible ideas and values they claim to hold.

The Tea Party's sole purpose has been to simply serve as a roadblock to the Obama administration and I hope that once hes out of office the Tea Party movement will go the way of the Occupy Wallstreet movement

Ive been throwing some of these ideas out to this board over the last week. My main worry is that the TEA party is hijacking actual fiscal conservatism. Tea party protests didn't start until after Bush left office-I started a thread on this and people got very upset.

However, we will get an answer in 2016. I truly believe a Republican will win, and then actual policies will have to be enacted. Then we will find out what the TEA party is really about.

I honestly think Rand Paul has a legit shot at winning, and he will have an opportunity to make some positive lasting changes, imo.

I just saw the thread you started on Tea Party policy ideas.

Its hilarious because they have none

The Tea Party platform is the Republican platform but distorted into a more hardline stance with a healthy heaping of anti-Obama

I think Rand would make a good Pres. By the book...and out of the box at the same time. Likable too.

But he's no Statist...so the MSM will turn him into a heartless, Darwin-economics demon.

I honestly think that the politics train has left the station. Unless and until the "Abundance" book kicks in...we're going in the bankruptcy tank any way we cut it.

I agree. And he has some interesting ideas. My gut feeling tells me he is coming along at the perfect time.

The primary will be difficult for him I think. If he survives that, I think he is the next president.

You are so very very wrong. Actually reading the thread you malign and even a simple google search would prove your mistaken ignorance on the subject.

The Tea Party does not have a single uniform agenda. The decentralized character of the Tea Party, with its lack of formal structure or hierarchy, allows each autonomous group to set its own priorities and goals. Goals may conflict, and priorities will often differ between groups.
