This flyer is being distributed

For those who do not know, Jackson Public Schools is abysmal. They were found with dozens of major violations, ranging from non-degreed teachers in the classroom to sewage water running in the halls. Hundreds of students have graduated without meeting requirements. They have been given ample time to correct it and haven't.

The state board of education is likely to takeover the school district this week. That would mean all administrators fired, unqualified teachers out, and a conservator appointed to fix the schools.

Of course trying to fix failing schools is somehow racist in 2017.

Well apparently it's their will to have no extra-curricular activities?

And if it's including "no football" does that mean no "no football?" So it's someone's will for them to have football?

A great comment from one of the news stories that sums up my thoughts.

For everyone who thinks we should let JPS collapse on it's own, give this a little thought. The parents in Jackson do not care one way or the other. Just keep the free daycare open. They don't care who runs it, just feed and take care of the kids they care so little about.

For everyone who thinks a state take over of JPS is the answer, give this a little thought. There will still be the same parents in Jackson. They do not care about education and nothing you do will change that. If children do not get any encouragement and support at home by the time they get to school it is too late.

If the parents do not change neither will the school. Don't look for any change in parenting no matter who controls the school.

unqualified teachers out

With the exception of those who'd lose their job over that, who in the world has a problem getting rid of unqualified teachers?

Jackson parents. The school district has turned into quite the employment center. No degree, no care, we'll get you an emergency license. Just shut up and do what we tell you and make sure the kids don't kill each other in class.

Take over of New Orleans Public Schools was one of the best things that could have happened to that city.

Maybe Jackson will have similar success? I hope so for the sake of those kids.

Sounds like a great place to send young, white liberals who can't find jobs so they can truly make a difference.

A domestic trip to an Africanized stronghold; just pretend it's the Peace Corps.

And they're worried about losing sports? Seriously what kind of parents would rather their kid play a sport while going to school with sewage in the halls?

If you don't like African management and scholarship you are obviously racist. Our Black children deserve African leadership.
