What you are suggesting is the act of a dictator and not a democratically elected president.

You people are so fringe and crazy, it's actually scary.

Wrong. The NFL gave that up a couple years ago. Trump can't do a damn thing, it's just another private company doing whatever the hell it wants.

He can make it worse for his cause continuing to run his mouth. Makes it easier for ownership to speak out against him and consolidate. 4 already did it yesterday.

Why? Has playing the NA ever bothered you before some guy decided to make a political statement by kneeling. Hell no it didn't so why do you turn to mush in a 12 month period? I just don't get people like you who prefer to roll over as opposed to nutting up.

Will you be okay when some athlete drops his pants one day and moons the nation and the flag as a sign of protest?

Require that players stand for the NA or get heavily fined; enough to hurt, or stop playing the NA at the games. I would support the latter.

And you really believe that all of who love America, Freedom and football...are going to just keep watching those Athletes when we know how they feel re America? Be like Bill Clinton preaching a sermon about Trump's disrespect for women.

Segregation is the answer.

White leagues for white players, fans and meaningful expressions and traditions?

This is awesome PR for Trump. This only helps him. I don't understand how y'all don't get this.

Out of curiosity what right do you bellieve they are expressing and exactly how is it being infringed upon?

With his shrinking and leaning further and further right base. Sure. This board is the perfect representation of that group.

But the people who actually decide elections, the middle 20%, they're far from in his corner on this one.

I like how you speak in absolutes. It's rather comical so thanks for the humor

The people who won him the election in 2016 and the people who are going to win it for him again in 2020 are the middle class whites from the rust belt. Those same middle class whites are going to eating up this bashing of the athletes who kneel during the anthem.

The ONLY people who are upset about him doing this we're never going to vote for him anyway.

I have never been a big Trump fan and am 100% behind him on this.

This is going to end badly for the players as sponsors start to put heat on the NFL brass, the target audiance for NFL ad spots is RAh RAH red white and blue Americans.

They are representing their employer in an official capacity. The employer has the right to sanction them for behavior that alienates customers.

Somehow I have a feeling you didn't knight for John Rocker or Marge Schott on "free speech" grounds.

I didn't say they were against him, I just said they weren't with him. I think the truth is we don't know.

I wasn't speaking in absolutes, the other guy was. But you missed that part obviously. I wonder why?

It's going to end badly regardless. There's no upside for them, it's about which side is less bad and mitigates damage. If they double down on the murica crowd this won't end any better for their bottom line and viewership.
