treating old people via "endless" government spending is a part of it, too

This had got to be a significant part.

Healthcare has gotten good at keeping older terminally ill people alive longer (but with low quality of life) and as this large numbered generation gets older and needs more and more care, it will continue to rise.

...you don't want the truth. You can't handle the truth because it doesn't fit your narrative. So answering someone who refuses to listen is meaningless...kinda like your hero Obama's leadership...simply meaningless.

Shows your intellectual capacity.

Lawyers suing doctors creating a must test for everything when we know better atmosphere.

Government paying for so much health care has caused the market to get out of balance.

True or False?
False.

Big Pharma and Insurance taking control of medicine is the main reason.

In terms of money and influence, Trial Lawyers may be the most powerful lobby in the Democrat Party. That's why.

You seem like a smart guy; this is not simply a Democratic Party issue.

Is somebody gonna back up their trial lawyer comments with some actual numbers? I've heard that is a very over-stated contributor to the costs.

Kind of like food stamps in the federal budget. It's not the reason for high costs but since its such an easily thing to make into a villain, it gets all the talk.

Overutilization, defensive medicine combined with an entitled patient population, heroic medicine (cancer,1st 30, last 30), and the US Pharma/research/device premium.

In that order.
