Do you believe that the government should have the consent of the governed?
Yes or No?
Yes or No?

It does have the tacit approval of the governed. And "legalized theft" isn't theft, right off the bat.
If the US government doesn't have your "consent" for any portion of the rights that you have by living here, please opine as to which rights and responsibilities you object to?
I would absolutely love to hear your ideas on possible alternatives.

The fact that every single citizen of this country either enjoys or participates in the vast majority of Constitutional rights. The rights and responsibilities are incredibly well laid out. Choosing and continuing to live here is consenting to governance.
Only those idiotic "sovereign citizens" think otherwise.

Choosing is a false premise.

No it's really not.
And any answer to which rights and responsibilities you don't consent to? I cannot wait to hear
Does your desire for "30 year affirmations" of Constitutional rights come from ignorance or naivety?

rights come from God,
'consent' doesn't even belong in the sentence

Well nvm. We are talking about the Constitution. No rational conversation on this matter can be had with someone who believes that governmental authority comes from God

You are right. I've often thought that perhaps we should sunset all laws every 30 years or so that every generation can reaffirm them.
No thanks, this current generation is crazy.
