Have flat feet, can't make time on your 1.5 mile run, poor eye sight, good luck passing the basic qualifications to serve. This bull shite notion of transgender or even female participation in the military is pure social engineering derived by the left. It only harms our armed forces and ability to perform its duty. Those elected officials supporting such actions are a detriment to our country.

Nope, it's not about what's best for the military, it's about your "right" to serve.

This is interesting... They are fighting for quality, but equality to them is lowering standards for different groups so they can have the same experience/chance as others. That's not equality. Equality is treating everyone the same way.

I was obsessed with the Air Force growing up. People always told me that I needed near perfect vision to fly - and I'm nearly blind.

Wrong..

Equality is BEING equal.

Not merely treating everyone as if they were equals.

Treating everyone the same way is courtesy.

Most of the transgender people I have worked with have Borderline Personality Disorder. One guy was psychotic, and his gender confusion was more of a delusion. There are probably some who are higher functioning and don't meet criteria for a diagnosis, but many of them probably still have traits of BPD and a history of depression. All of the transgender folks I have worked with have had histories of abuse and very unstable relationships.

Two main considerations: what is the risk/cost of the person serving in the capacity at issue? Are the standards being lowered? If the answer to the latter is "no," nobody should have any problem with letter Trans people serve if the cost/risk of them serving is no more than any other condition with which people are allowed to serve.

And rank bigotry should not be considered a worthwhile cost/risk.

Harrumph! Harrumph! Great point. I want the guy protecting my "rear" area to be a real soldier! Equality only counts if everyone can fight equally.

Should I sue?

Pretend you have a condition you don't, get draft deferment, get elected President...

You know, stuff.

Where do you work that you've worked with transgender people? Are you a street walker?

You keep ending up with transsexual prostitutes in your car? Why else would you associate the two?

Any job where it doesn't matter one bit, like IT perhaps? No one gives a flying flip what's between your legs, only if you know C, Java, and Python.

What the frick? Are you under the impression that everyone is equal?

Is the guy with poor eyesight to be make an equal sniper to the guy with superior eyesight so that you might feel better about yourself?

That's not how the military works . Instead the military almost immediately begins classifying people . I was 17 years old when I joined the Army, went to boot camp the summer between my junior and senior year of high school, then finished high school then went to my advanced training.

Anyway in basic training they start separating people out right away. This person is not keeping up so he has to run extra, or do extra pushup , or clean the latrine every night, or pull extra fire guard duty, or whatever. This person is NOT equal to everyone else here. You don't want to be treated like this person, so strive to be equal to everyone else here, but you are NOT equal by virtue of existing.

That's the entire point of military training. When I was 19 I was in Iraq and my CO at the time told me "son, you don't belong in this unit, why the frick aren't you in college? When we cycle home you're going to college" Far as I know out of my company of 200 something men and women I'm the only that that CO essentially ordered to go to college on the Army's dime. Should they have done so for all 200 people there so they were "equal?" I doubt anyone would answer yes to that question.
