Dems won popular vote in Presidential and combined Senate races. Doesn't sound like Dem Party is dying.

...... so if LSU gains more yards than every team this season but loses 4 games, they are still undefeated?

You won't have all those illegal votes in the next two elections.

Couldn't even win the last one with them.

They have lots of policy initiatives.....
Open borders
Coddling criminals
Illegal immigration
Pandering to radical Islam
Racism against whites
Socialism
Destroying American culture
Anti-religion (unless it's Moslem)
I could go on, the problem is Americans hate their policies.

We have no leaders and no unified message at the moment. Thank God the GOP doesn't know how to govern or we'd be in serious trouble.

actually republicans in congress received two million more votes than democrats in 2016. you can't really look at senate as being meaningful because every state gets two senators regardless of their population some cycles big states reelect and some years small states. that's why every one with at least half a brain looks at the house races.

as for the popular vote means nothing more than you guys have california and new york good luck with that.

If only that were true...

Unfortunately they are just going through a temporary malaise. Their leadership will change eventually and/or the Republicans will do what they do and turn off the public and then the Democrats will be back in power again. It's the nature of a two-party system.

Well said. At the end of the day, average middle class American wants good schools for their children, a thriving economy full of good jobs, solid roads and a safe community. They don't care about BLM, LBGTQRE freak shows, etc

Nope. The GOP needs this bill now to implement the tax reform. As much as I agree this is what should happen, I know whole heartedly it will not.

Democrats were announcing the death of the Republican party 9 years ago. If the Republicans continue ignoring the will of the people who put them in total control of the legislative and executive branches, the shoe will be on the other foot in due time.

Failing to repeal the abomination known as Obamacare is not a good start. Will Republicans repeal and replace those legislators too chickenshit to do what they were elected for, or do Democrats take those seats?

It's well past time to actually do something, not gloat, or celebrate.

The GOP power-brokers are Never Trumpers and work covertly to undermine this Administration. They also work to deny Trump any success on implementing the Trump agenda in order to deny Trump political victories.

The state and congressional redistricting did not go into effect until the 2012 elections.

In many states it is done by the state reps, but it can be changed and modified by the congress.

This allowed the GOP to get an advantage for years and not until the next census can it really change. The DEMs did the samething for years and the GOP even tried to make a reform in the 80's.

I'd say it's the other way around. You'll see in the midterms and next presidential election the democrats will be very successful. They have a stranglehold on most of the minorities whose numbers are rising and college aged students. If the republicans can't change their message to appease to a younger audience they are going to fail big time. The democrats strategy is easy which is to make Trump seem like Satan on earth and get all the emotional young people to vote.

One data point should never be used to make a point. Go take a statistics class.
