1. Regardless of whom you turn it into, your data is going to be looked at.
2. If you turn it in to someone and they report it to the police, who would you prefer it be: Dudes who work for mega corporation Apple, or some sketchy dude who has no credibility?

Someone should do poll of some sort of people have used computer shops in their life. I mean unless you’re capable of doing it yourself do you just throw it in the trash and buy a new one? I always assumed it’s what everyone did when something was wrong. Biden is just an idiot for having that stuff on any computer.

Love this in comparison to NY Times - we got his taxes! How? Can’t say. From who? Can’t say? Can we see them? Nope.
That is not fishy at all.
In this case we have emails, photos, the actual people in the chain of custody giving interviews..... pretty much Austin Powers and the penis pump.

They’re just ignoring it

If I had incriminating emails and photos I needed recovered I'd take it to a blind guy!

I doubt it was brought into the repair shop myself. When you add in crack the possibilities are endless how it ended up in Rudy’s hands.

I have worked with a lot of addicts...
At the height of their illness not much they do makes sense, and forgetting that he dropped it off, or where he dropped it off would not be a stretch either.

Retrieving data from a corrupted, crashed, contaminated hard drive is not easy and is not $89.00.
It is not geek squad level and starts at $1200.
Advise to board: back up frequently and to several hard drives

Takes less than an hour to remove a sealed hard drive from a damaged PC/laptop, connect it to an external enclosure and copy the contents off of it. Data xfer across USB is about 1gb/minute as a rule of thumb but you won't normally be charged for the copy time since it can be left unattended. If the drive is badly corrupt it just takes longer to copy the contents but no tech interaction is required.
Looks like the $85 estimate was for a standard one hour minimum of labor.

Hunter Biden is corrupt and is paid millions because of his father but uses a random crappy computer repair shop makes tons of sense
Furthermore, where did the pictures come from then?

I paid about $100 to have this done at Computer Heaven in Baton Rouge, off Florida by the old mall. They were very nice and had it done in about 24 hours.
I was thankful as they were able to retrieve pictures of my little girl who passed years ago. Love those guys

People who don't want to be charged $500 for just plugging it in.

I'm probably legally blind without my contacts. Even with them in I meet people all the time then forget their names and faces by the next day.

3. This is like the beginning of a Clancy novel.
I can't disagree with that one.
The convincing proof in this are the assloads of pictures (no one is going to do quality photoshopping of thousands of pictures in such a short time) and the content of the incriminating emails. What I mean by that last part is the half-assed attempt at code which was being used. It's almost as if they knew they shouldn't say verbatim "Joe Biden is being bought off by Burisma, with the money being funneled through Hunter" but were so lazy and sloppy due to believing they were shielded that they used code a 3rd-grader could crack.
That's something a drug addict and his buddies would do.

I wouldn’t have bought Hunter’s Hertz rental car saga either but this is a f the same level of stupidity and both were factually confirmed.

Oh come on, you think they'd just ignore it hoping the story goes away?
Yes. I believe exactly that.
Indeed both the NyTi and the WaPo are basically running deflection for the Biden Campaign. The strategy of both FB and #twitter is to simply squelch it completely.
The truth behind the Hunter Biden non-scandal
quote:
The story of Hunter Biden’s involvement with the Ukrainian gas company Burisma isn’t a scandal about his father, as the Trump campaign claims, but part of a personal tragedy for the vice president’s son, compounded by this week’s dissemination of what looks like disinformation about Joe Biden’s role.....

Who uses computer repair shops?
Someone who has something to hide? Repair shops have an obligation to notify law enforcement when they find evidence of a crime. Computer dude notified the FBI and they issued a subpoena for the laptop. It was the FBI child pornography group that issued the subpoena.
Ownership is easy to prove. The repairman said there was a Beau Biden Foundation property sticker on the laptop. Given the serial number on the laptop it should only take minutes to prove who owned it.
