The left is out for blood. Plain and simple. However like the past election most people came to their senses. Hopefully a conservative will stay in office.
I do have concerns with an attempt on the Presidents life. I think that'll happen before a Civil War. And if it does, the first, I'll be armed and ready just like the rest will be.

Stuff like what you describe will take about 100 years to happen.

Change like you describe takes a couple of generations, with Mao's Cultural Revolution being the exception that proves the rule.

We DO have something like Mao's Cultural Revolution happening but it will take at least a century to culminate.

I don't want this. I have a damn family. I won't "gladly pick up arms" to go off and get myself killed and leave my kids with no father. You think this is silly? Fine. Point me out a democracy in history that gets to the point we are at and cools down. We've surpassed the 1960s. We're way past that. The whole nation is desperate to kill each other now.

While I agree with you in general, there are enough on the left who are willing to kill or act in violent ways to get their way. We are seeing that almost daily.

It doesn't have to be everyone on one side or the other willing to kill just enough on one side or the other. The left is dangerously close The that point.
