That fool doesn’t know what year it is or control his bowel movements. I think these limp wrists bureaucrats who are trampling the constitution and running the government are about to find out after the election.

Always been the plan, now Texas will not be able to send electors to DC and Trump loses 40 electoral votes.

We can all just join Texas and elect our own president

Covered and followed by so many? During an election year? Over a heavily unpopular item for a heavily unpopular president?

If you can’t see the difference in this scenario then it’s not even worth discussing with you anymore.

Oh I understand. I agree it's issue #1. I just think there is more in play than we see and a lot of it is just election grandtsanding politics and nothing will be done by anyone on either side.

I wouldn’t even be disappointed if this were political grandstanding bc a lot of people all over the country are watching and supporting Texas here. You can’t buy this kind of PR for the GOP in an election year.

This is exactly what made me take such a long break from this board to begin with.

New report from Eagle Pass, TX: Locals are tired of the negative effects of the border crisis and say something has to change.

Even met border crisis tourists from the East Coast.

Just because republicans win by a slim margin in statewide races doesn't mean that the majority of Texans will vote to secede. That has always been a pipe dream.

I'm not into hyping Civil War for just for lying Politicians to get elected and rich.
Election year or not.

They need to close the border. I also agree with bringing attention to it. But this love for Civil War and threatening other Americans is where I draw the line.

It's feeding right into their plan. It will end up being. Jan 6th event and everyone that goes will regret it, because the politicians are just 'playing" outrage with no intent of doing a damn thing.

The vast majority of people supporting this aren’t hyping civil war. They are tired of our government ignoring the issue while sending millions more overseas.

I AM interested in this issue influencing elections bc we need an administration that will make this the #1 priority. I want the country to see how this admin is responding to an issue most support.

I’ve lived in Texas for over 25 years and everything you’ve said is correct. It’s all political pandering. Illegal immigration has been a problem in Texas since the 1990s. Abbott has been Governor for 9 years and hasn’t done shat. Bush Jr. pushed for immigration reform and other elected officials in his party wanted nothing to do with it. I’ve come to the conclusion that Republicans will never do anything meaningful to stop the border crisis. Why would they? They’d lose something to beech about on Twitter and the news. They fundraise off the border issue. Can’t keep getting $$$ if it’s taken care of. This country is run by elected officials who care more about their own celebrity and pocketbook more than our country.

It’s been a problem but for most of that period it was just Mexicans coming across to work or drug trafficking weed/coke.

It’s gotten much worse as many are now foreign men of military age from China or Middle East so now you have spies/terrorists and then also dangerous drugs like fentanyl killing people instead of just party drugs.
