Nugent always comes across as a good & decent guy to me. I actually think he's an effective spokesman for conservatism, too. Hollywood would do well to have liberal advocates who were as articulate & sensible as Ted.
Begala, true to his nature, was a little weaseal to make such an intellectually lazy comment, but Nugent does the right thing here by embracing it and basically saying "
Who cares?"

As always with these racially insensitive remarks, flip the races in his comment and ask yourself if he would still have a career at that station. We'll have equality when everyone has to play by the same rules.

Paul Begala calling them white trash says it all. The democrats and probably a lot of republicans think of Americans this way. They live in a bubble much like Hollywood. DC is filled with ignorant bigots and racists.
To me: it is no different as if Obama had visitors to the White House and people calling them a derogatory racist word. Imagine the outrage...
