he's too socially conservative

Hm.

So his personal beliefs in certain issues are paramount to his view on the government's role in those issues. For example he is personally against weed use, but says it should be left up to the states.

How is that something to distance yourself from? Isn't that exactly the position we want people in the federal government to have?

Fair enough, sounds like I'm the only one who saw title and thought Cruz had actually been chosen for AG. No biggie, carry on.

I'd rather Ted be on the Supreme Court. The everlasting melt would be incredible.

That melt would be good, but not the greatest. He should be AG for the time being and then put in Gingsberg's seat if/when she goes.

Well, Hillary went from the congress to a cabinet position to help her presidential prospects.

Sure, but is attorney general really a move upward towards the presidency? Seems like one of those "promotions" where people's careers go to die.

Cruz >>> Gowdy

Gowdy's Benghazi hearings were a complete dud.

I'd imagine Cruz has a lot more to work with to build his resume for 2024 as AG than another face in the senate. This allows Trump to keep Cruz close and might curry favor with Senators who think Cruz is an a-hole personally and will be relieved not to deal with him.

But he never gave up. One of the reasons they were a complete dud is Hillary perjured herself at least 6 times.

He still has the WANT to get her!

Have maxed Cruz shares - ready to roll. Just hope he stays away from drugs on fed level and respects states as he says

Oh I disagree.

He held Crooked's feet to the fire as best as one could when the White House, State Dept, and Justice Dept completely stonewalled.

sarcasm? He will put the fear of God not only in corrupt dems but in the GOPe. This is a great choice to put all cucks in line. Trump needs to strong arm ans discipline his own party first, then he will get shite done his way, Trump will make the pussies long for W.

Would Cruz as AG for a few years make it easier to confirm him for the Supreme Court than if he was nominated now for Scalia's seat?

Damn man I want Rudy as AG. Third is bad news. I don't trust that Canadian Cuban bastard to be loyal.
