Teachers tend to seek public approval and support..."We care about children"

I find it interesting so many Teachers post things on Facebook (about education) that suggest they care so much about children and should be supported what they do because the "challenges are so tough" and "pay is not what should be", but mostly an undertone of "we choose your kids over another profession, so step and support us" .
I want to say "welcome to the real world, you don't get to pat yourself on the back for caring about your clients, or for doing a good job, that's expected because you're a paid professional"
I don't say anything because it would come across as "mean or I don't support teachers" I do....but dang if they don't seem to believe they are special saints among us.
And they cling to Unions and too many are Democrats...
This reality makes my butt hurt.

Many hold back and never post, but the ones that do, oh my!

I'm usually not a guy that does this, but the crazy amount of grammatical errors in your post complaining about teachers is something I can't look past.
Maybe the problem is that you never had any great teachers while you were in school.

Then drop the union shite about wanting a retirement plan and job sponsored health insurance. No doubt you'd get that bigger salary.
FWIW, just yesterday I found out how much my old company was paying per month for my wife's, a spousal dependent, on my insurance. Since I'm going on Medicare, my wife's premiums shot up from $220 a month to $965 per month for the same coverage. Point being, the old company of mine should be paying around $700 a month for her insurance. That is why salaries tend to be as low as some think they are.

I did post what I thought and was banned about 4 yrs ago. frick Facebook, I wouldn't last a day without telling anyone the truth again and get banned. Its just another liberal mind conditioning site.
As for as the teachers , we send our tax money to the feds who give most to special interests and the thousand's in the Dept of education who do nothing. So they could get more money if they had the nuts to stand up to the Union Bosses who rob them blind. This is coming from someone who has a Mother who was at every level in education, 2 brothers who are AD's and a Daughter who teaches. Everyone of them would agree with me.

That's a teachers job.

Teachers, waiters, and nurses all have a huge dick measuring contest to see who can complain about their job the most.
News flash teachers, your pay is 119% the average state income in Louisiana.
News flash teachers, most everyone puts in more than 40 hours a week.

What?
No, teachers think what they think...it has nothing to do with Facebook.
Do you work for CNN?

Ah, perhaps you realized you were going to be graded (by others) how accurately you corrected my grammar mistakes?

The problem is not many of them do, substantially less than they let themselves believe in fact.

No, I am actually a teacher and do see some of the same posts from my female colleagues. I just thought it was ironic that you posted what read like a Facebook post bitching about teachers bitching. It amused me.
FTR: Female teachers, nurses, and stay at home moms are the worst on Facebook.

There are many teachers who are underpaid. But the problem is that it is so difficult to remove the shitty teachers.
How about we give them a raise and remove any and all restrictions on firing them. Clean out a the bad ones and make room for some good ones. Or base their pay on performance.
And at the same time change the "crazy checks" some parents get for having a retarded child. If parents had a financial incentive to make their children do their homework and study we would not have all the stupid people who are unprepared for work and life. Instead of parents telling their children to do poorly so they will get into special education and the parents will receive a crazy check.

Most have their hearts very much in the right place.
Unfortunately, teachers who don't exhibit those qualities tend to find themselves in "management" or as controllers in the bureaucracy.
