That little psychotic POS Dylan Roof started this whole thing. After that Mitch saw it as a great opportunity to score political points. Many of us have lived near these statues our entire lives and have never heard a single negative thing about them. In fact I'd venture to guess that at least 95% of the population couldn't tell you a single fact about those confederate soldiers.
