Of course it is. The logical outflowing of atheism is that there is no objective moral standard and no inherent human value. What kind of society are you going to have when you claim a utilitarian view of existence? The kind that says the ends justify the means.
Not necessarily. Atheists recognize that morality is nothing more than accepted social contracts. Most of what dictates those social morals is time tested. We know what makes good society. Cooperation, Empathy, and Compassion are far more likely to lead to successful civilization than Murder, Haterd, and Violence.
It doesn't take a Religious experience to know these things. Although, admittedly Christianity is one of the single best vehicles of the kind of morals that lead to successful civilizations. I love Christians and thank them for creating the greatest society ever known.

Do we have enough information to make this declaration on a societal level, though?

Atheists must learn to find a deeper philosophy and stop defining themselves by their distance from historical philosophies. Even worse, many of these people turn to the state itself as their religion, which is extremely dangerous.
Your premise is faulty. In general, atheists do not use atheism as a method of defining themselves. I define myself as a good husband, son, brother, and productive member of society who treats others well. I just do not happen to believe in Jesus or God.
I certainly do not view the state as my religion. That's absurd. If anything many of these Trump supporters worship and deify him while also identifying as Christian.

Faithful, caring, loving, supportive. Is this a real question?

One question I have always wanted to ask a real atheist is: What keeps you in line? Most crimes go unsolved. What keeps you from murdering someone who aggravates you?
I'm atheist and the answer is, because I'm a decent human being.

Renowned self acclaimed “Christian Atheist”
So basically he’s just on brand.
So basically he’s just on brand.

I'm a reformed atheist and I agree with the sentiment. I guess you could argue that I'm still an atheist since I'm not a believer, but I now fully embrace the importance of Christianity at a macro level. Without it, our society will crumble, tyranny will take hold, and a great many people will suffer.
I agree to an extent. I do not harbor ill will or negative feelings about religion. I think it helps a lot of people and is generally positive for society. Personally, I just do not believe in Jesus or God.

Who decided being faithful, caring and supportive was good? What is the foundation for calling those actions good?
Of course it's a real question. Are you above being questioned?

Why wouldn't we? One only needs to look to history to see what makes good and successful civilizations.

It's called a conscience. It's something God gives you. Kinda ironic isn't it?

An innate desire not to cause harm to my fellow human beings.
I have a question. Can your dead relatives see everything you do, and if so, how awkward is that meeting gonna be?

What are the successful ones who have eschewed all "Religious experience"?

Pretty smug answer. How do you know God gave you a conscience?

Hey Foo. THIS is how it's done.
No multi paragraph bull shite fests implying you've got some hard and fast provable logic. Just fricking say it's your faith and call it a day.
I can respect that even when I don't believe it myself. And, no fricking dumb charade.
