Nearly every Republican Trump goes after still ends up bowing down to him (due to a lack of spine I guess) so he's never had a reason to ease off of anyone.

Pretty much this. Look at Ted Cruz. Trump goes after his wife, and Ted still goes to bat for him. I agree with Cruz a lot politically, but I have zero respect for him.

Tim Scott was my guy. His speech on Fox when he said America isn’t a white supremacist country is what black America needs to hear even if they’re kicking and screaming. Policy wise he didn’t say much the other candidates didn’t say also, but I’m so fricking tired of the media and liberals painting all conservatives out to be racists. A good portion of the country is totally brainwashed about Republicans being racist. We can scoff at it, tell them they’re wrong, all we want, but it’s what they think and they vote, too.

I don’t think I do not know why running a black candidate isn’t at the top of Republicans’ lists. The designation as Republicans being the party of racism and white supremacy has been absolutely deadly to Republicans. It’s the ultimate insult and is one of several inaccurate labels that have handicapped the party. It’s so deadly that it’s 90% of what the left runs on. We have to stop that shite. Good luck having a white Democrat beat a black Republican.

That's a load of bullshite unless you're talking about the meme wars and social media.

Trump couldn't get a Republican majority in congress to build a wall a clear majority of Republican voters desperately want.

There is a huge disconnect between Republican presidential primaries and real life politics.

For someone so popular, everyone sure is against him.

This is why Trump attacks DeSantis. His successes in Florida lead people to think there are others who could be more effective and Trump can't have that.

Dude that has been answered over and over on here by these clowns. Hell you even have the true believer OP still starting threads about DeSantis months after the fact. This is their red meat and all they care about. When the housewives and others are turned off again by Trump's short attention they'll just blame some other bullshite and call people pussies.

This is the easiest election in over a generation if he would just stay focused and hammer the horrific state of the country. But he's an old narcissist who is likely just as worried about his perceived lack of loyalty as he is about a viable strategy to beat the dementia patient in the White House.

Every fricking day until November should be a nonstop barrage of current cost of living and the border. EVERY frickING DAY.

God forbid Trump ever had to face actual issues or criticize Democrats again.

Thats why he prefers rallies to debates. He's never challenged at rallies.

I just saw a post from BuckyCheese that if Trump could dial it back to an 8, he would be fine. I agree with that. But, Trump can't help himself. This is where some of us will say, he's pissing away the opportunity to grab DeSantis/Haley support on the margins that he needs. Then, the hardcore Trump supporters will say, those people weren't going to vote for Trump, anyway. And we go around in circles. Over and over.

Swing states are won by close margins.

20k or so in the last two presidential elections in WI iirc.

Pvt. Pyle and his merry band of morons would rather hear another sick burn from Trump than see him reach out to someone outside his base that would help him win those swing states.

I think it is funny because if dumb GOP voters would coalesce behind him this wouldn’t even be a problem

Maybe it is the candidate that is the problem.

I mean if someone likes Kelly and he throws her under the bus, is it likely that person will suddenly become a big Trump fan?

Or he shits on DeSantis, who has publicly supported him in a bid to bring his voters over. Are those that favored DeSantis going to be die hard Trump fans after he just insulted them via their chosen candidate?

I have. It appears he's great at rallying the troops in rallies, and twitter zingers.

But when dealing with actual human beings one on one and facing real issues, he's just not capable of uniting people behind a vision, if he even has one.

Which is why this stuff happens.

quote:

"It's not right and it's very bad for our country," he said.

"There are a lot of things that I’m unhappy about in this bill. There are a lot of things that we shouldn’t have had in this bill, but we were, in a sense, forced -- if we want to build our military -- we were forced to have. There are some things that we should have in the bill," Trump said at the time.

"But I say to Congress: I will never sign another bill like this again. I’m not going to do it again. Nobody read it. It’s only hours old. Some people don’t even know what is in -- $1.3 trillion -- it’s the second-largest ever."

And crazily in Republican primaries, it seems.

In other words, perhaps, you could stand to reassess your current perspective. Or are you absolutely sure that there’s zero chance you are off even a little bit?

I’ve never been that sure about mine.

Thats his tribe, they do show up. They have a lot of faith that he will do what he promised.

But they cant help him when he's facing actual policy and has to put together support, which he is very poor at.
