because they thought they were "winning" and now they know that gloating is just making the loss even worse.

theyre progs, but not stupid progs.

Again, this is why you didnt see Obozo get involved in this debacle.

If the players and staff would have just come out and stand like normal, they would not be having problems in the first place. That did not occur.

What did occur was a series of stupid mistakes that the Steelers organization not only allowed but supported. They made their bed now go lay in it.

Don't expect actions to not have consequences. Don't insult and expect them to love you for it.

Why am I supposed to be mad at the steelers

Didn't Rush come out and defend Tomlin?

half the threads today are about how conservatives are now supposed to work for the destruction of all spectator sports but NASCAR

Not in your life. I just had better shite to do today. I'm back for a bit.

I see that the melt continues without me, so thank y'all for that.

Even if true, it's a HUGE miscalculation to think that boycotting the anthem would be viewed this way. The reality is that, standing for the anthem was the "non political" choice. The problem was that someone, not sure who, let their internal feelings get in the way from recognizing this very obvious truth. If what he's saying is true, it's one of the biggest PR blunders ever. And, he should apologize for that blunder...rather than simply explain it. Saying you didn't mean to be offensive doesn't absolve you from being offensive...especially if the large majority of people perceived your action as a boycott. This letter falls short, IMO.

There's a serious problem an owner of an NFL team faces in situations like this flag/anthem protesting BS....., the players and the NFLPA have more power than the owners. It's unlike any other business in that regard.

The only factual part of that letter is when he calls Steelers fans the best fans in the league.

Dear Art,

By staying in the locker room you committed a political act. You also did it to appease the far left whackjobs who would love nothing more than to shut down your business completely.

So, GO frick YOURSELF.

Of course, if you could arrange a threesome with Rooney, Kate, and myself, all will be forgiven.

I've got a few friends who are Steelers fans, and they're all frothing at the mouth insanely mad about the whole thing. Burned their jerseys, terrible towels, etc. and posted the pics on bookface.

I mean I can understand being disappointed in the Steeler's response but damn
