Mickey, you just don't get it.....everyone who lives in St George is a victim. Nothing that goes wrong is their fault. It's always someone else's fault who is out to just screw those good, honest, hard working, non-elite St George victims.

Exactly. They have a huge victim-mentality.

Kind of ironic, huh?

Quick question for you: They can't even get 18000 people to sign a paper

Did they give up? Were they supposed to have it last week? I'll make a $500 donation to the charity of your choice if they can't get 18,000.

Not at all. I'm saying the lines they used were drawn by BR. It's simple, really.

SG did not have to use that line. They chose to so they could get the money. It's simple, really. They gambled and it may now backfire.

The absolute worst case is that the current petition is invalid. Attorneys have already said thats not likely, but even if it happened they simply start over. That would suck, but the people here aren't going to give up regardless.

And I'm glad we are all on the same page about BR drawing the lines.

As I understand it, the lines for the incorporation effort were created from the St George and Southeast Fire department boundaries. To me that makes sense. To carve out a third district out of the existing two is less desire able than simply consolidating the two districts in the proposed new city.

What exactly were the borders of the ISD as proposed in the legislature the last two years? Was it one or both fire districts, or some mix of the two?

I am so sorry we keep ruining your lives, now even from the past. I am sorry we made Norman and gang pick those lines. It wasn't his fault, he was held up at gunpoint and forced to, by an elite magnet school 2nd grader

Y'all keep bringing up the "lines" that st.George drew and how they were dumb for including the mall.

I merely pointed out BR drew the lines with their incorporated area. Not sure why the need to respond like a child throwing a tantrum.

The ISD was defined by the interstates and the parish borders

Just because an area is unincorporated, doesn't mean you have to incorporate it all. Its not an all or nothing proposition. If the leadership had any foresight at all, it could have prevented any Baton Rouge counter-attack.

There is no "ideal" size. They went with all of the unincorporated areas. It is what it is. They could have left off gardere and some other high crime areas, but they didn't do that either.
