Besides his advertised town hall on Wednesday to discuss...

not the Obamacare cluster;
not the IRS abuse and suppressing political activity;
not out of control government spending;
not the Keystone Pipeline and energy independence;
not the crappy state of the US economy;
not suffocating government regulation on business;

but to discuss...

Flood Insurance... you know the thing the President just signed. Yes, it is important to South Louisiana but it's pretty much a settled issue and discussed ad nauseam by Landrieu, Vitter, and the local stations.

Is this guy running for US Senate???

They're ALL "RINO"s.

After all, "Republican" is just a name.

beating Mary will not be that easy. The DEM money machine and the LA DEM machine will roll out every resource. EWE is going to turn our the minority vote.

I say the weather will determine the election. It will be that close

I have a question about the term. At some point, doesn't it become apparent that if most of the party nominates and, to the extent it can, elects these guys that posters call "RINOS", then maybe the term RINO is either inaccurate or even an oxymoron. In other words, they are the Republican Party. Who the hell is to say differently? Who gets to define the Republican Party?

The only way MLL can win is to avoid a runoff. If it goes to one, she is toast and she knows it. It's why they have placed a 2.6 million buy for mid April to June. She's hanging around 44% at the moment,

Can someone explain why he was called a rino? What specific policy or stance is the problem?

It means they are not far right wing and might (gasp) be willing to work with democrats on an issue or two.

RINO is a word invented by political idiots in order to make you think they know something about politics.

Yep. It's the current iteration of "neocon". Bastardized to mean a Republican with whom one disagrees on anything.

I know Cassidy is a very smart guy, but watching him campaign feels a lot like watching LSU's offense before Cameron got here. I keep waiting for him to pull out the secret play book. Waitin'. Just a waitin'. Any minute now. Flea flicker with Russell Shephard. Statewide ads attacking Landrieu/ACA. Something? Anything? Granted, it's just Bowling Green/mid-March, but I need to be inspired.

Why does Cassidy need a special play, He is ahead in the polls and I assume it is because he has honor and integrity in spades compared to Landrieu and the bribe she took to support Obamacare.
