Correct, didn't mean to imply that.

I just think someone who comes in and posts and obvious lie and then disappears when asked for proof should be called out. I didn't want to spam the thread (more than I already have) by making it another post.

If they mislead anyone on that it is an SEC complaint waiting to happen. I can link bunches of stories around the net corroborating it if you want. You have provided absolutely nothing

Free market for webmail and search egines. No issues from me.
By that comparison, everything we're discussing is a free-market

Deservedly so. The price of cable and internet is highway robbery. I am about to cut my cable from Cox and just keep internet. Playstation Vue is somewhere around $40/month and it offers all of the channels you would typically watch

It's expensive prices for horrible service. I would rather pay more for a streaming service that allows me to watch what I want when I want. That also comes with no (or fewer) commercials.

No clue why anyone defends these companies

If you don't think Google (and other companies like it) are careless with putting false or misleading statements then you are just showing your ignorance even further.

Also since you continue to insist that you have no clue how google's ad services work, I assume that you have no clue how the tech sector works.

Hey idiot. I can use Bing or duck duck go or any # of sites that won't collect my browsing. ISPs aren't the same way because usually one like Comcast is granted a monopoly by the local government. I wish you fricktards would understand this.

If this allows these telecom companies to bring jobs to America.( which it wil) so be it. Use private browsing folks.

Using private browsing mode on your browser does absolutely nothing to stop your ISP from spying on you.

The only way to prevent the spying is to use a VPN, which is an additional cost to the consumer. Also, with net neutrality on the chopping block, soon it'll be just fine and dandy for the ISP to throttle your speed down to nothing if you use a VPN, forcing you to submit to their spying.

And this is ok to you because you just assume it will create jobs? First, how? It's pretty much all automated, the impact on jobs is minimal. Second, it's just not worth it. You want to sacrifice the privacy of a couple hundred million people on the chance that it will create a few jobs? That's ridiculous.

Increased profits only create jobs where companies want to reinvest. When you have a protected monopoly, there is no reason to reinvest.
