Dems have backed themselves into a corner- while yes, the IC could have legally been wiretapping the Russian ambassador- by law, they are not able to disseminate any info that came from Flynn himself during those calls without a FISA or warrant regarding Flynn himself. Problem for the IC; then, is the fact that Flynn was residing and working in Trump tower during that time.

You can bet your arse if they had found anything substantive on Trump, it would have been leaked. Nothing was leaked that I know of. It's really crazy to believe...or say out loud...but the Obama administration was using substantial government powers to affect the election for their party.

I knew Nixon was guilty of the Watergate break-in the day the news came out in June of 1972. It still took until August 1974 to get him out of office.
I believe Trump agreed to rid the GOP platform of its Ukraine clauses in a quid pro quo with Putin who, in turn, directed the wikileaks assault and instructed about 250 internet trolls to do the same. Considering the timing of wikileaks right after the platform was finalized, it's just common sense.

I doubt Trump personally had anything to do with it. I do believe Manafort was engaged in some horse trading with the Russians, but Trump fired Manafort and has plausible deniability.
This is all going to come out in the kabuki theater of congressional investigations and hearings over the course of the next three years, and the American people will be judge and jury as to Trump's culpability in 2020.

We know there were recordings of Gen. Flynn and the Russian Ambassador. We know their existence was illegally leaked.
We also know that Flynn lived at and worked out of Trump Tower, hence Pres. Trump's claims are true.
We also know that Hillary tweeted about the server at Trump Tower and a connection to Russian banks. We have several news stories about FISA warrants and the aforementioned server.
Now either someone was spreading lies to reporters about some imaginary "Russian" connection with Trump and his campaign, or there were warrants and or monitoring without them.
So in conclusion, we have a conspiracy to bring down the Trump Administration (sedition). We either have the media with egg all over their faces or complicity in the conspiracy or both.
Someone needs to go to jail for the Flynn episode and if it turns out there was monitoring a LOT of folks might go with him.
