Did government actually order or threaten penalties against Twitter? Or just make recommendations/requests? That’s an important distinction when it comes to First Amendment.
But either way it was total bullshite and I’m mad as hell all over again.

He really should be careful. You know there are people thinking up shite to throw at him. He'll get the Trump treatment and probably never get out from under the mountain they'll place over his head

I’m sure the lawsuits will start flying and these questions will be answered on a case by case basis.

Basically. Twitter has the right to tell the government to go frick themselves. Ya know they were wiping their asses with any demand trump or his team made.. so Twitter was aware of that ability. The left side of the government issues demands, and Twitter instantly becomes a fricking lackey, acting like it's their honor to follow gov orders... effectively allowing the gov to control all of Twitter.

The government is now on record acting to violate the constitution by suppressing free speech.
This was to undermine the free processes of the nation.
frick lawsuits, this is treason pure and simple.

The founders would be horrified by this. Rightfully. This is exactly what the constitution was created to prevent.

Here was a post of mine earlier in another thread…
I’d say it’s a bit nuanced in that Twitter is a private company and thus can’t violate the 1st BUT it gets complex when Twitter had a basic monopoly and the government powers had them doing their bidding. There’s the rub…

I would tend to agree, but Elon and SpaceX are partnered with the DOD to provide basically real-time surveillance anywhere in the world with the new Starshield system. He basically has DOD protection, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
