Why, because he wants his nieces and nephews to show some responsibility ??
No, because he wants to gossip about his niece to make himself feel better. It's kind of a pussy thing to do.

So, you are in favor of theft? Interesting.

Why is it that so many people use this immature type of retort in earnest?

Funny enough, this might somehow improve the abomination of ACA.

Why don't you answer the question? It's theft. Explain to us how it is not.

It is theft. Neither she nor the child required assistance, though her poor choices created her, and their, circumstances. I might be obligated to help her, as family, but Zach , as an old fart, shouldn't be burdened by her dumb arse...but he was, and is. That is a shitty system.

Meanwhile , my friend is steadily writing checks for the education of his bright twins that were too stupid to avoid pregnancy and stay off the tax payer tit. Shame on them. His girls and he got what he deserved.

And absent great scientific advances, no matter how bad my boys might frick up, neither will be an unwed mother. All my damned tax dollars are for naught...or someone else's naught.

Give them electric cars! You're dilemma is solved.

Where do they get the electricity to charge the battery? Don't tell me. Its from a plug in the wall. Right?

Free education would be much more beneficial.

Would your plan have restrictions on the curriculum students with "free education" would be permitted to choose.

There are many folks with college degrees, with student loans, with no jobs. How would making it free help the situation.

You know, assuming you are tightwad, which I thing is probably the least of your afflictions, and that this niece would not have help from you since, you know, you're so old and don't deserve to be leaned on and bothered, the aforementioned niece would be left to her own abilities. Likely, without government assistance, she would be able to work as a waitress or a stripper or a Hooker. Who knows?

The point being, the investment in her future by the government (sorry - not theft) will be repaid multiple times. She will earn greater than two times over her lifetime what she'd earn without the education. The kids, your blood kin, will grow up having a better life and greater opportunities to advance in life. In terms of pure taxes, over 40 years, the taxes she'll pay into the system will be between a quarter million to a half million more than she'd pay in otherwise. In keeping the kid out of the cycle of poverty, he stands a much greater chance of being a productive contributor, not an uneducated, minimal wage, lower taxed unproductive person.

In some ways, the correlation between wages and education should not be surprising. For an individual, annual earnings rise with increasing education, as shown in Figure E. Higher median annual earnings for those with more education reflect not just higher hourly pay, but more stable employment and fewer periods of unemployment.

I would expect you to assume much...and be completely wrong.

I just gave her $4000 in legal work. I help family and freeloaders alike.

.

You, of course , missed the point. SHE DIDN't NEED the government investment. We, the " government" rewarded her for shitty behavior. More deserving citizens are punished by her crappy decisions. The system sucks, just like you. You fricking suck. You suck. Your thought process sucks. You and your ilk are ticks on the arse of America...sucking the life out of the country from behind. Capeesh?

Do you play golf? Jeez, I hope not. If you do I bet you're one of those club thrower types when you blow up on a hole after a triple bogey, amirite? And boy, if you're an attorney, it must be fun for opposing counsel to tweak your nose in court and see you come unglued.

Sounds like you resent your niece getting help. I don't have a problem helping someone that's trying to help themselves. I have a problem with the lifelongs who won't lift a finger to break the cycle of poverty.

it would have to. we'd also need periodic reviews of what are acceptable free education plans. Also would most likely have qualification standards as well. but I would also want something similar for free trade school education as well. We need both skill sets in our workforce.

Education in my opinion is the key to freedom, If we give people more skills and knowledge they can create their own jobs and they won't be immediately buried in student debt as they are starting their working life.

Gossip gossip gossip. No way you'll ever do anything about this alleged theft. You're gossiping about your own family on a message board. Gross.
