Right hand to the bible I don't listen to NPR but the guy across the hall from me listens to NPR all day long.
They loved Obama, and I didn't even listen that often.

Do you only make posts that are straw men?

What favorable things should they speak about regarding Trump? What accomplishments should they broadcast to the world?

Trump is reversing Obama's decision to allow students to use the bathroom that they personally identify with in their minds.

That's good. Let businesses decide how they want to approach this issue. The government has no business dictating who uses what restroom.

Trump ignoring a rise in anti Semitic crimes and activity and the Netanyahu administration also ignoring it because of close ties to Trump. Noble Israeli politicians are trying to shed light. The bogeyman Steve Bannon is mentioned.

I'll give them this. Trump's lack of caring is very concerning. Spare me the token Jew son in law; Trump just doesn't give a damn about fighting bigotry.
quote:

Long interview with ex CIA analyst who quit because he cannot in good conscience work for Trump. Admits that he opposes Trump on almost every political issue but claims that in no way affected his decision. Starts off with eloquent memory of him as a young freshman watching black smoke rising from the Towers on 9/11 and knowing that he had to defend his country from extremists.

So what's the story here?

The US will no longer be able to bring down corruption in the world, such as the toppling of FIFA president Sepp Blatter, because Trump is now president. Soccer purists and other world anti corruption people are despondent.

It's not that we won't be able to, but that Trump won't care to do so. And I don't have an issue with it quite honestly. Let another government waste it's tax dollars on investigating FIFA.

How does that equate to what NPR played in the last 30 minutes. How do you know that they didn't have a run of pro Trump stuff on. 30 minutes is a small sample size to compare to Fox News wouldn't you agree?

I listen a few times a week. Not just 30 minutes here and there. Their story selection is blatantly biased. The people they interview are almost universally anti-Trump. Rarely do they have someone on to defend. They over and over state a straw man Republican position and then beat it to death. I can't remember them having a Republican on and stating from a Republican viewpoint why they want something passed.

As bad as NPR is Public Radio International (PRI) is worse. Just about every story they relate has either a Republican, white men or rich white men as the antagonist.

I'm not a Trumpist, but NPR is un-listenable

Not sure who would listen to it other than hard-core feminists.

It'd be like season ticket holders paying for WWL....and then WWL openly rooting against the Saints.

That's NPR

No it would be like WWL pointing out The Saints aren't very good when they go 4-12

He doesn't give them anything. They pick and choose what to dwell on, and then add their particular interpretive stylings to the approval of the sycophantic NPR listeners. just my opinion...others may feel differently.

The rise in anti Semitic crimes is especially troubling. You can't get a decent latke in this town anymore and I saw there was a new Mel Gibson movie out the other day!

Yes, that is exactly what they do and we help pay for it. Seriously, if the government is going to fund PBS and NPR then they really should have some test of balance in their reporting. Even by the most generous standards NPR would fail miserably lately.
