He took on the JFK legacy. Kennedy was a despicable human being who was the son of an even more despicable human being and, despite his image, was a Cold Warrior who launched a secret war with Cuba and increased our role in Vietnam. When you do that you lose the support of both parties, which should be seen as a badge of honor.

You do know that Seymour Hersh is about as left wing as it gets in this country. For God's sake he's the man who exposed the My Lai massacre and its cover up.

It's been alleged that Hersh has confirmed Seth Rich as the DNC leaker and that he was concerned about his safety prior to his murder.

I'm not a fan of Hersch. He's sort of a Pentagon jock sniffer who makes a name for himself uncovering shite that needs to stay secret.

But if this is his idea of "fair and balanced" I'm all for it, Sy. #MAGA, you old dog.

I don't know how accurate any of this is, but one of his first statements on that recording is:
quote:

I don't think he was murdered because of what he knew

I haven't heard many people say Seth was murdered for what he knew. Many have speculated he was murdered for what he did.

Someone explain the operating logic here.

So Seymour Hersh, the guy that wrote a 10,000 word piece alleging the Obama Administration misled the public about the aftermath of the Bin-Laden raid, is now for some reason intentionally burying the smoking gun source he has that confirms that the falsely attributed Wheeler quotes are in fact true? That confirms a cover up that would no doubt get him another Pulitzer if it played out true. Why is Hersh doing this exactly?

Ironically, the release of this supposed audio actually seems to align pretty well with what Butowsky allegedly told Wheeler he would do to blackmail Hersh to force the name of the FBI source he(Butowsky) never spoke to in an effort to keep the discredited story afloat. That was conceived by Butowsky to build a case around a conclusion they wanted to be true for political gain but didn't yet have the evidence to support.

quote:

During a May 19, 2017 telephone call between Butowsky and Mr. Wheeler, Butowsky revealed his plan to extort Sy Hersh in an effort to save the May 16, 2017 Seth Rich story. Specifically, Butowsky stated:

“What I’m really good at is going on the offensive, okay. Once we assess the situation, so I’ve got a friend of mine from high school that does a lot of crises management stuff but we both think a lot alike. I sent him the Sy Hersh redacted where it’s just his voice. He is going to record five seconds of Sy’s voice. He’s emailing Sy. That email is going to contain that five seconds and, he’s going to say, you have three hours to write back who at the FBI you spoke to, with his name, that read you the Seth Rich report. If you don’t give us that in three hours, a full recording of everything we have will be at every news agency tonight with your name and phone number on it. If you give it to us, you will never hear from us again.”

Butowsky then claimed that he had Mr. Hersh’s “balls in a noose

A lawsuit that I would also mention, quotes Butowksy as saying Hersh did preface his conversation on the FBI source as not having actually seen the alleged report he spoke of and placing doubt on its authenticity to begin with.

Well that's an awfully fine distinction since knowledge and behavior are inherently linked.

But killing him for what he did, makes less sense anyways. Basically you're risking a huge criminal case as retribution, not because of a future risk that needs to be mitigated.

If he KNEW something that they were afraid would be exposed, then that would make it far more logical.

So are some of y'all saying that Seth Rich took documents from the DNC in addition to it getting hacked by two Russian APTs?
