Agree. For now, I'll appreciate his message which is basically that the cool-aid drinking party-first types are ruining this country and that we need a fundamental change in the country's approach to politics. His book proclaims that Americans need to become more self-reliant. Even if its nothing more than slick talking points, he's pretty eloquent in communicating them and I believe most reasonable people would at least want that kind of message to be the prevailing thought in this country.

They interviewed him on NPR this morning too. He was impressive compared to the normal BS.

Wasn't he one of the more vocal antiTrumpers from the right during the election?

Who said it simply didn't happen. Even McMasters quote, which is being stripped of all comtext, says "didn't happen as written" which means if there's even the slightest misunderstanding in the story he's off the hook.

No one has yet come out and said:
Intelligence wasn't shared
This had been planned
The intelligence wasn't passed on from another agency
Sources have not been put at risk

They have denied that sources were revealed. Not the same thing.

Now the narrative is shifting to "yes but even if he did, he's allowed to". Again, the means apparently justifying the ends in our new president as king reality.

And Sasse is great, he always seems comfortable. He reminds me a bit of the scene in Adjustment Bureau when Matt Damon's character breaks off script and starts lamenting the $900 shoes chosen by a focus group. His Twitter photo was a selfie of him and his wife, when so many others are using a bland headshot with the flag. He's got game .

Ben Sasse left a very good impression. Very good conservative, far more conservative than me, me but I would vote for him for President. Please Republicans arrange for him to primary Trump in 2018.

Just remember to go to the polls and vote for Ben Sasse, US President on 4 november, 2018.

He's against the two party system and has a book out that pushes the idea that Americans need to be more self-reliant. His record in the Senate is pretty conservative.

But let's shut him up and call him a cuck because he's not in lockstep behind Trump.

He's been pretty reasonable at most of the Senate hearings I've watched where he's been present.

I love Ben Sasse. I don't think he can win because the voters don't seem to want decency but I'd love to see him primary Trump.

No real conservatives love Sasse. Fake conservatives love Trump.

Can't really tell what their agenda is other than staying in power and keeping a broken system.

Sasse's message is exactly what Trump supporters are begging for. Sasses doesn't like that D.C. and government is the center of of our society. He hates how locked in people are to their respective parties. He thinks American culture has deterioted and we need to become more self-reliant. He's basically saying what we need to do to Make America Great Again. I'm not pushing him to run for President or anything like that, but I think we need more people embracing that message on the national level even if it's all BS to push a book. We need more advocates for that message and we should be encouraging it.

Then he will be castrated by the media and the left if his words mean less government in our lives. Hell, can't he see that with what is going on with Trump in that regard?

This is the truth. Everytime I turned on Fox all the were talking about was liberal-media-sucks, liberal-media-sucks. Scrolls at the bottom of the screen "Is the Liberal Media trying to Destroy Donald Trump". "Liberal Media covers up truth about Comey". Etc. Hey look, we can all have different ideas. And I am not in favor of any fairness doctrine. I am simply analyzing what I saw. All the other networks were talking about the issues of the day, Fox seemed to avoid them and just attack the liberal media. Trust me, I turned them on a half dozen times. Now could it just have happened that I got "unlucky" those six times, in theory I suppose. But I kinda doubt it.

Well, the media is driving the Trump attacks, not the democrats. Proof was yesterday. The media asked Chuck Schumer about Muh Russians, and they asked Schumer, "did Trump MISHANDLE classified information". Schumer was caught off guard and said, "i wouldn't call it mishandling".

Well, now a full 24 hours of the news cycle has gone by and MISHANDLING is the media narrative right now. The media is the enemy, 100%. They are driving the anti-Trump narrative and telling the Democrats where to place their outrage. So i'd say that yes, the media being a 3rd political party is a very big story.
