According to the Honorable Jeff Sessions, Comey did receive a response concerning being left alone with the President.

Comey lied AGAIN!

Walls caving in on Comey. I wonder if this chapter will be in his $10 mil. book deal.

Ask Session's aide who according to the AG was in attendance when Comey supposedly only got a shrug.

Comey testified that he expressed concern to Sessions the next day about being left alone for a private conversation with the President.

Sessions basically substantiated Comey's testimony in his own testimony. Sessions testified that he reiterated the rules to Comey about private conversations with the Presidemt. That they were OK as long as they were not about ongoing investigations. And IIRC correctly, Sessions said he believed Comey knew the policies regarding private conversations with the President

One nagging question for me that was not raised: Did Sessions ask Comey what was the nature of the private conversation that made him uneasy?

If I was Sessions, I would have asked that question to Comey. But that rock was not turned over by the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Comey wrote a memo about the encounter with Sessions because it disturbed him so. It reads;"

Sessions didn't lie, he gave a non-answer. He said he responded to Comey's concern by agreeing with him that it was important that the Justice Department observe the proper communication channels. Which isn't a response since the problem wasn't the Justice Department, it was the President.

If you believe that Sessions gave Comey the little speech Sessions testified to, I've got some prime Louisiana swampland to sell you.

Do you think it was Sessions job to ask Comey what he and Trump talked about if Trump asked to be alone with Comey and then Comey later expressed concern about his conversation with Trump?

Which Sesions obviously did not do.

It was even less then that. Sessions said he "affirmed" which could be as little as nodding his head. He added a lot of words to describe what he affirmed, but never said what he said.

What was the response? Seriously, I don't remember what he said. I thought it was more of a non-response, although I could be wrong.

For the record: I don't think Sessions had anything to do with Russian collusion/cooperation. But this is what happens when you hitch your wagon to a clown show.

Also, this is going to take years. This is like sound check for the opening act.

Ah-ha! That was my recollection also.

Nope... Letter to department heads (one addressed specifically to Comey) proves Sessions right.

How could he have anything to do with something that didn't exist?
