No, I’m not gonna place myself above anyone else. I’m a man of and amongst the people, people of all stations in life.

And yet you'll place Israel's "right and obligation to defend itself" above Palestine's right and obligation to defend itself from the theft of its land and subsequent apartheid unlawfully imposed upon it since 1948. LINK

Do you want our warfighters to get in there personally and fight in Gaza the Old Testament Way or not?

Keep in mind, depending on your answer, somebody might call you a "Pussy."

You have a future in politics with that attitude, except for the placing yourself against anyone else because every good politician thinks he's the smartest person in any room.

I get the feeling that many of my fellow Americans would rather not have to consider answering this question.

But that doesn't change reality - the Question is squarely before us.

Can you imagine Ben Shapiro's reaction if you told him the Holy Roman Empire or the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth had a right to exist? Zionism is an absolute farce and we've been sold it by people who have no loyalty to this country whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure that not even a majority of American Jews support Zionism as it exists today.

IMHO you are mistaken by a wide margin.

Admittedly, it's not easy to get a handle on, but it seems that most American Jews are liberal, while Zionism is a conservative nationalist movement.

Caring about Israel is “essential” to what being Jewish means to 45% of U.S. Jewish adults, and an additional 37% say it is “important, but not essential,” according to a new Pew Research Center survey that was fielded from Nov. 19, 2019, to June 3, 2020 – well before the latest surge of violence in the region.

most Jewish Americans said they did not think that either the Israeli government or Palestinian leaders were sincerely seeking peace. And most Jewish adults took the position that God “did not literally give” the land of Israel to the Jewish people (42%) or said they do not believe in God or a higher power at all (24%).

Pew Research is mistaken, IMHO.

Americans by a wide margin support waging war on behalf of Israel, in any manner and under any rules that Israel sees fit, IMHO.

They may not say so to some Pew Research phone call inquiry but still, that's how they think.

There’s very little chance of SFP doing or saying anything that could potentially upset them.

Well, seeing as how neither one of us seems to have any good sources supporting our respective opinions, I'm just going to have to leave it here.

You c'mon. Show me a trail from money given to Iran making its way back to members of the US government. I'm not saying it can't exist, but as yet we have nothing more than speculation. Again, unlike what we've seen with Ukraine.

Only in the most general sense. Religious fervor has far more of a contagion aspect than simple loyalty to country, and that fervor knows no geographic boundary.

Look, for instance, at all the protests (and the intensity of them) for Hamas. Those asshats committed insane atrocities all because they feel it's their religious right to do so. Maybe Russia is parading naked corpses of dead Ukrainians around, but if so then I missed that story.
