If you would've had your way we'd have witnessed Rubio or Kasich get their arse kicked and we'd be watching Hillary being sworn in.

Just seems that way because he's going to do what he campaigned on, unlike previous admins which just promised the world and then flinched when they got in office.

The campaign is the same as the message as the President.

How refreshing actually.

It's pretty clear cut.
The Trump Doctrine.
Americans first.

Good news for you-because soggy Establishment types can join in too. You can even keep your sweater vest.

Thank God we dodged that bullet.

I was hoping for some sense of majesty in an inauguration speech.

Finishing phrasing is much much better.

Hasn't the complaint always been, Politicians say one thing and do another?

Maybe we finally elected one who would do exactly what he said we would do!

Why listen if you're going to bash it?

His supporters are 100% behind him and he's won the campaign. Softening rhetoric and being more unifying could help raise his approval rates which would increase his leverage over Congress. Being more popular would make it easier for him to pass legislation he wants.

Realistically what did you expect this speech to be?

I'd just hoped for something more than a stale stump speech.

This was a time to point out the vision of where we are going = not to just say again all that we've done wrong.

At least he didn't talk about how many primary opponents he had beaten. That was certainly an improvement.

It's time to officially admit that Trump isn't changing - what we've seen is how it'll be for four years.

Nope. You'll be getting your little tushy whupped for EIGHT years, not four.
