NBC is likely quite pleased with the result. The network scored a 3.6 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and an overall rating of 7.2 to mark the highest-rated episode in over six years. (Jim Carrey boasted a 7.8 rating on January 8, 2011 thanks to an NFL lead in.) These high ratings contribute to SNL’s strongest season in 22 years; the show has seen viewership jump 22% in total viewers to an average of 10.6 million and 19% in the 19-49 demo to an average of 3.5 million compared to last season.
Others stood by to see how the actual Trump would react to the episode, as he as often taken to criticize the show’s portrayal of him and his aids. He was probably not a amused by the episode, which utilized many of the same impressions he has condemned.

Trump made SNL great again.

Trump is an SNL plant.

It's hilarious watching SNL fall into trumps trap.

This is proof that Obama's fundamental transformation is a failure. After eight years, the media and Hollywood is back to normal.

Great again ?
What were it's ratings in its heyday?
In case you don't have time to look, it was 13.5.

Not surprising since they are finally doing their job again.

They need to pay Alec Baldwin more than 5K for his appearances. That is what people are tuning in for.

That's seriously all he makes? Granted I though Darrell Hammonds is better so maybe AB the cuck had no leverage

50% of the audience was probably trumpbots looking to be triggered.

Thats not unusual. It's human nature. When failure can no longer be denied, people retreat to what used to validate them, in a vein attempt to bolster their dying spirit.
Sad, really. Maybe a music festival is next, loaded with pathetic whiner bands like Green Day, or get Morello to paste Rage Against the Machine back together?

Maddie Berg doesn't know the difference between "aides" and "aids," or maybe she does (AIDS).

quote:It's some standard SAG/union thing that was worked out. Something to do with working actor wages and SNL's commitment to journeymen. I think the actual cast no-shite makes like 12500 an episode/low six figures a year. It's supposed to launch careers, not keep top talent on staff.

ETA: Seems to be a good bit more now, but still in sox figures for a full season (as compared to many popular shows that pay regular cast $1M or more per episode.
