That's one less unnecessary task that they need not take part in so they can focus elsewhere. That increases combat effectiveness.

I don't know about weakening the military, but it'll certainly weaken Trump. Trump said he was going to be the LGBT community's best friend and now this, the LGBT community though never in his corner now really hate him.

You have to show 18 months of transition before you can officially be switched to the next gender. That's 18 months of not being operational which does in fact hurt the military.

trying to compare blacks and transgenders is stunning to me.
There was no BENEFIT in barring blacks from the military, except because of deep-seated hatred of blacks as people.
There is a benefit in not having transgender people in the military.

This is exactly what happens when you glorify these extremely fringe groups to the point where they're almost ensconced in mythology and folklore. People are so convinced that trannies are so vital to our society that they think the most powerful military on earth will crumble without them.
