...and by that I mean should the person(s) financing the protest face felony charges?

They could be charged with inciting a riot.

Felony and held financially liable for damages including personal injury, property, and increased security costs.

There is already a law on books for this. Surely someone here knows the code

It already is a felony.

That was the thing that stunned me most in the entire election. That the FBI wasn't at hillarys door investigating the riots her campaign paid to incite at trump rallys.

Doesn't surprise me. Wonder why (and we all know why) the FBI isn't going after these people.

Yes. If the agenda of a violent protest/riot can be linked to a financier with an agenda then it should be a chargeable offense. Soros- and other destabilizers- should have consequences to their actions and funding.

No, however they should lead to major civil penalties in lawsuits.

yes and agency theory holds the payor and payee liable. agency theory in civil, conspiracy in criminal(civil too but weak)

There are limits to political speech, not saying this is even political speech because it is astroturf... ie 'paid acts' in furtherance of", not for its own sake as 1st amndmnt dissent.

In this regard it could be a spoke (or a chain) to a larger conspiracy and not overly difficult for RICO to attach.

To me same as a bartender over servicing a drunk at the bar..He goes out and kills someone in a wreck...both him, the bartender, and the bar are liable.

Yes because is it really a protest or free speech if you are paid?
