With regard to Seattle, civil unrest, the military and all you autonomous zonites: 50 years ago I sat in a barrack, armed and with live ammo and full combat gear at Ft. Lewis, WA ready for a go order to quell possible disturbances associated with a rock concert/festival near Seattle. Most all of us were infantry returnees from Vietnam serving out our last few months in the green machine. I only bring this up because if you don’t think the Regular Army would be used against a civilian anarcho-syndicalist communard, you’ve another think coming.

1. No its not, the power is granted in Art.4 Cl. 4.
2. Congress even statutorily codified it within 10 USC 253.
3. I seriously doubt Seattle could stop anything, as they can't even stop some no muscle Pasties from taking over their streets.
4. If you are aiding an insurrection within the country you could be part of the insurrection and subject to a punishment of death for treason.
Also, with them now aiding and approving this, I do wonder if they could now be subjecting themselves to "taking" suits.

This stupidity can and will pop up in more cities. By placating these loons, you're emboldening them and others like them to do the same and to keep pushing the envelope. (remember this started when police were told to stand down during nationwide protests and looting). Main stream Americans like myself are starting to wonder why we are paying taxes to a government that isn't going to protect private property or enforce laws.

One of out local news channels here in Washington State did a piece on the Autonomous Zone at 6am and not a soul to be seen. No guards, nobody in sight anywhere.
Evidently the tide pod eaters, basement dwellers and other freaks like sleeping in until noon.
So if anyone would like to take back those six blocks it would be a piece of cake at 6am.
