Which person said the words "aggressively" enforcing MJ laws?
No one, that's who.
Perhaps you should edit your OP.

Authoritarianism is the same regardless of party.

Banning soda isn't a part of the Dem party platform. It's handled as a municipal issue and is a limit on the size of a soda you can sell, not whether you can sell it at all.

How the frick are these two even linked?

This really is no big deal. It's a union busting move more than anything. The corrections officers are not FedGov employees and are not getting the same pay and benefits. The policy and procedures are the same as the BOP. FCI Yazoo City is a privatized facility.

Lol. Go visit a GEO federal holding facility. I've been in one many times
You want nothing to do with anyone in there.
The one in Montgomery county even supplies the food for the neighboring county jail

There's a reason private prison stocks have sky rocketed after Sessions was announced as the AG pick. Jeff Sessions wants a police state.

There is no defense for either one of these.
Public disobedience is the only answer.

They're not. We also don't have an "opioid crisis".

If you're looking for a link between problems and policy in this admin you're gonna be sorely disappointed.
See: immigration.

GEO Group, one of the nation’s largest for-profit prison operators, donated $250,000 to support Trump’s inaugural festivities, Pablo Paez, the company’s vice president of corporate relations, told USA TODAY.
That’s on top of the $225,000 that a company subsidiary donated to a super PAC that spent some $22 million to help elect the real-estate magnate. Another prison operator, CoreCivic, gave $250,000 to support Trump’s inauguration, recently filed congressional reports show.
Looks like the investment paid off.
