Of course it was - Leon Panetta ALSO said the techniques yielded information that was used to find Bin Laden.

You're out of your element here, brah.

Gruber seems to have no problem talking but I definitely support water boarding him for fun.

Ignorant sob's can't get any person to believe that water boarding is a form of torture, unless a person has shyt for brains.

WE WATER BOARD OUR OWN NAVY SEALS.

It has been a defined form of torture for decades if not centuries.

I don't like the technique. I don't like where it has brought us as a nation.

I don't like that a bunch of people burned up in a multiple story, 700°C - 800°C, fire, either - some succumbing to either smoke, the fire itself, the building collapse, or choosing to jump to their deaths.

As far as I know, we didn't waterboard anybody to death - I could be wrong, of course.

Difficult to feel sympathy in that context.

I am pretty sure that some of the people we have water boarded had nothing to do with 9/11, so there is that...

ETA: I am pretty sure that the Gruber testimony will be reported by every major news channel, so there is that as well.

Yep, they will risk American lives around the world to shut the Gruber testimony up. They know the MSM will play along. Hope they bring up rendition was started by Clinton, and Congress was briefed and blessed the enhanced interrogation procedures, and no charges against anyone was ever brought. This is just Political games at the expense of American lives, and pure Politics....

You mean Uruguay? This is one of the reasons the idiot in chief can't keep a DOD Secretary in the job.

I love how they have put the world (terrorist) on notice for a few days that the content is so bad ?? that we fully expect widespread violence. Nothing like giving them a little time and expectation to live up to.

This administration will never learn it seems. This will be another one of those intended "gotcha" moments by the Dems to make the Reps look bad. The only problem with that is chances are this will only backfire against the WH when embassies are attacked, possibly people being killed and the harm it will do toward our allies.

Another case of coming around and biting you in your own arse. I have never seen a more anti-America admin as this one.

Yep...and the stupid America haters now showing up in the streets will manifest their outrage with more anarchy...while the Community Organizer Obama does everything he can to fan the divisive flames.

Won't matter, other than pushing us electorally closer to the kind of kind of Civil Authoritarian governmental mechanisms that will be required to keep the seditious and treasonous (anti-Constitutional) actions in check.

Attack us...you get waterboarded. Commit crimes, and resist arrest by our Civil Authority...you get shot or choked out. It's a virtual fait accompli; we'll have to come down hard on these revolutionary anarchists (Alinsky version)...sooner or later. Like the Islamists...they'll force our hand.

You are clearly the target audience for Gruber's duplicity. You lap it up.

We firebombed some Japanese that had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor. I'm having a tough go at using a peacetime mindset to judge actions taken during a shooting war. We didn't randomly pick these guys up off the street. Most of the Gitmo are the worst of the worst, in that, we should have left them where we found them, but they had intelligence value (or potentially so), so we took them. Now we're stuck with them.

At least Obama doesn't pussyfoot around with all that - we just drone them where we find them, now. We don't get a lot of useful intelligence that way, but it is more politically convenient to do things his way - it's not like he gets much fallout from it, either - people just defend him by saying, "But...but...BUSH!"

So you deny that torture methods played a part in gaining the information that led to Bin Ladens capture, the capture that Obama took a hell of a lot of credit for and was one of his main campaign slogans in 2012 presidential campaign?
