Question, would he completely obliterate an opponent in the debates? He seems like a guy who would embarrass his opponent by being waaaay more logical than they could hope to be.
Winning a debate depends completely on your audience. The democrat base is comprised of a majority of the ignorant masses. Paul will not "win" a debate in their eyes.

Notice I have talked about plans or ideas or problems faced, because none of that matters. What matters is marketing and Randt needs a makeover not even the Queer Eye Fab 5 could accomplish.
Thats a pretty great argument for voting restrictions.

In their defense, most lack the cognitive ability to understand long term cause and effect. Both the DNC and the GOP capitalize on this shortcoming. The DNC just does it to a greater degree, with greater efficiently, with a focus on the lowest of the low.

I was a big Ron supporter, but I would be the first to admit that he was not an engaging speaker, and that includes both on camera and in person (saw him speak at a Mises event). However, he was extremely engaging in small group settings and one-on-one.
If Rand can combine his father's likability in small groups with solid public speaking capabilities, he can do some serious damage.

At least someone will come out and say the truth about the federal reserve.

I bet he would kill a debate

Rand is a funny guy, but this wasn't the time to crack jokes like the old gipper. There's plenty of time for that.

Thanks for posting! What I love is that he is making it clear - especially to swing voters and younger voters who don't remember Reagan - that there is ANOTHER WAY. He also made it clear, without being mean-spirited that our current president's way hasn't worked very well. Not the most charismatic speaker in the world, but he states his case well and speaks to people like adults. So refreshing after 5+ years of bloviating.

Why should republican candidates be concerned with whether democratic voters acknowledge who actually won a debate, they are going to vote for the democratic candidate. That being said, even the crew at MSNBC and other ardent democrats were forced to admit Romney destroyed Obama in the first debate.

Unless the candidate is an extremist evangelical like Santorum.
I agree, yet somehow Santorum finished second in the 2012 Republican primaries, with strong showings in states that don't seem to fit the "evangelical strength" description, like Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, Illinois and Arizona.

These are likely due to his incredibly "free market" idea to allow manufacturing companies in the rust belt a 0% corporate income tax rate.

Does not matter who Republicans run in 2016. They have learned absolutely nothing from 2012 and will continue to lose national elections.

Then these people are very dumb, but that doesn't surprise me. Just because a man has a "lot of faith" doesn't mean he'll push it on others or anything of the sort.
